Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 27 March 2009 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was completed on Mar 20 to update the on-board ephemeris.

A press release was issued on Mar 25 describing how Chanda results have made a major advance in explaining how a special class of black holes may shut off the high-speed jets they produce. These results suggest that these black holes have a mechanism for regulating the rate at which they grow. For further details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/press/09_releases/press_032509.html

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below.
