Q&A: Supernova Remnants and Neutron Stars

Q:
Very impressive results on Cas A and the Crab Nebula. Are Tycho's SNR and Cygnus A /other strong double radio galaxies likely targets in the near future? It would be interesting to see if the jet in Rick Perley's VLA 6cm image of Cyg-A is X-ray bright. You appear to have the resolution to come close judging by the Cas A image.

Yes, Chandra observed Tycho on September 6, 2002 and Cygnus A on November 6, 2000. Other targets are listed on the Scientific User support page:
