Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 14 September 2018 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was executed on Sep 10 to perform an annual check-out of A-side MUPS thrusters, which are selected for use when Chandra is in its safe-mode configuration. Thrusters A2, A3, and A4 were fired. Thrusters performed nominally. Thruster A1 was not fired due to the expected limited life remaining on it.

Of note this week was the release on Sep 11 of CALDB 4.8.0. This update includes ACIS time-dependent gain corrections for the period Feb 2018 through Jul 2018. For details see: http://cxc.cfa.harvard.edu/caldb4/downloads/Release_notes/CALDB_v4.8.0.html

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below.
