During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. A real-time procedure was executed on Feb 28 to confirm that a heater on the Optical Bench Assembly (OBA) is stuck on and can be forced off by disabling power to one Thermal Primary Operational Bus. Real-time procedures were also executed on Mar 3 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer and to perform a diagnostic dump of the Control Processing Electronics (CPE). Of note this week was the announcement on Mar 2 of the workshop: Chandra Data Science: Novel Methods in Computing and Statistics for X-ray Astronomy, to be held virtually in Aug 2021. For updated information, registration, and abstract submission, see: https://cxc.cfa.harvard.edu/cdo/cds2021/ The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of TWHya coordinated with HST and an observation of ESO234-G050 coordinated with NuSTAR. |
