Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 24 December 2021 9.00am EST

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was executed on Dec 17 to uplink a flight software patch to update Spacecraft Strut and Telescope Forward Thermal Enclosure Radiator thermal K-constants to compensate for increasing temperatures. Additional real-time procedures were executed on Dec 17-20 to dump OBC-A and -B memory as a follow-up to the patch. The dump will be used to update the baseline memory images maintained on the ground.

The schedule of targets for the next two weeks is shown below and includes an observation of SGRB210726A, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Dec 9, observations of SGRB211106A, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Dec 20, an observation of IC10X-1, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Oct 28 and is coordinated with HST, an observation of QSOJ1131-1231 coordinated with XMM, and observations of NGC5548 coordinated with HST.
