Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 5 August 2022 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was executed on Aug 1 to check out HRC-S operation on the A-side electronics. As part of the continued evaluation of the HRC, the HRC 15V LVPS was successfully powered on for approximately 7 ks and an HRC-S science observation of Capella was completed.

Another real-time procedure was executed on Aug 1 to swap the prime solid-state recorder (SSR) from the A-side to the B-side. This swap concludes a six-month interval of health and trending data collection on SSR-A. Additional real-time procedures were executed on Aug 3 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer and to perform a diagnostic dump of the Control Processing Electronics (CPE).

Another real-time procedure was executed on Aug 4 to uplink a flight software patch to re-configure the on board software to power down the HRC 15 volt power supply during a safing action.

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of DQ Tau, which are follow-up to a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Jul 15.
