Operations CXO Status Report

Saturday 2 October 1999 7.00am EST

During the last 24 hours Chandra continued to observe the GTO target MS 1137.5+6625. An ACIS CTI calibration measurement in Timed-Exposure mode began at 2.30AM 10/2 and will continue until 10.30AM. The next mission schedule and set of command loads was completed and uplinked overnight and will begin operation at 10.30AM 10/2. Following the standard pre-belt CTI measurement, belt entry will occur at 6.30PM 10/2 with the next eclipse later in the evening.

Analysis of the last ACIS CTI measurement data indicates that no further degradation in energy resolution of the font-side illuminated chips occurred during the last belt passage (representing 6 passages, or 16 days without further degradation). The back illuminated chip performance continues unchanged with no degradation detected.
