Operations CXO Status Report

Monday 8 November 1999 9.00am EST

Over the weekend, Chandra completed observations of A2390, G21.5-0.9 and NGC 4321 with ACIS, passed through the radiation belts with the associated ACIS CTI measurements and began a long observation of Procyon with the HRC-S and LETG.

The Observatory will pass through its first lunar eclipse at 3.20pm on 11/8 and exit at 3.40pm. This eclipse will be handled in the same manner as a medium earth eclipse.

During the next 48 hours, observations will continue of Procyon with HRC-S and LETG, the observatory will pass through the radiation belts and complete ACIS CTI measurements, and perform a calibration observation of Capella with HRC-S and the LETG.

The spacecraft systems continued to operate nominally.
