Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 26 January 2001 9.00am EST

During the last week, Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was conducted on 25 Jan at 5.30am EST to retract the LETG. Telemetry indicated a nominal retraction.

Of note this week was the completion of plans for the upcoming 2001 Spring Earth eclipse season. The 11-eclipse season will occur between 11 Feb and 9 Mar and requires 4 software patches that have been approved for uplink.

The planned observations for the coming week are shown below and include calibration observations of the UV-bright star Vega with all four imaging detectors. These observations will provide data to monitor the UV transmission of the instrument filters.
