Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 12 October 2001 12.00pm EDT

During the last week, Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was completed on Oct 10 to update the on-board ephemeris.

Of note next week is the Chandra Fellows Symposium to be held on 15 Oct. Presentations will be made by the 14 current Fellows and will cover a wide range of Chandra research including stars, neutron stars, supernova remnants, atomic processes, black holes and determining cosmic distance scales.

Last week a very long (400 Ks) observation of the source RXJ1856.5-3754 was completed with HRC-S and the LETG. The schedule of observations for last week and the coming week is shown below.
