During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Chandra passed through the eighth, ninth, and tenth eclipses of the season on Aug 24, 27, and 29 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance.

A real-time procedure was executed on Aug 30 to update the on-board ephemeris.

A Chandra press release was issued on Aug 27 announcing a new NASA exhibit, called "Here, There, and Everywhere," that illustrates how familiar phenomena on Earth and across the Universe are connected by basic physical laws. A Chandra image release was issued on Aug 30 describing observations of NGC 1929, a star cluster embedded in the N44 nebula, which is found in the Large Magellanic Cloud. Massive stars in the cluster produce intense radiation, expel matter at high speeds, and explode relatively quickly as supernovas. Winds from the massive stars and shocks from the supernovas carve out "superbubbles" in the gas seen in X-rays by Chandra. For details see: http://chandra.si.edu/photo/2012/n1929/
